The glass products lose their original glaze with the passing time. Moreover, several scratch marks may damage the beauty of the glass surface. However, it is easy to restore the actual grandeur of the glass items. The users only need to polish the surfaces of glass products with suitable materials, which can eliminate all ugly stains and stubborn dirt from the glass surfaces in very short time.

Useful techniques for the application of glass polishing additives

Normally, the glass polishing is done by dipping a cotton ball or Hog’s Hair pad into the glass polishing additives. A squeegee may also be used for spreading the polishes throughout the glass surfaces. The commercial glass polishing is mostly done with the squeegee, as it makes the work much faster.

The pad or squeegee should be moved downwards from topmost part of the glass, so that the excess additives can be wiped off instantly with another clean cloth. Thus, the entire polishing work can be saved from being too much messy. Moreover, no undesired stain is formed during the polishing process.

It is difficult to apply additives to the narrow or pointed corners of the glass surfaces. So it is better to use a cotton swab dipped in glass polishing materials to fulfill this purpose, rendering a sparkling look to the entire glass product.

Use of various glass polishing materials on all glass items

White vinegar or acetic acid is a common household product that is foremost among all glass polishing additives. It is the best reagent for cleaning all types of stains and dirt from the glass surfaces. However, the vinegar should be mixed with same amount of warm water, to make the polishing process more effective.

The metal polishes easily available in the market are also useful in polishing the glass products. These polishes are needed in very little amount in case of glass polishing and a soft cloth is sufficient for applying these materials. These chemicals are very effective in removing all scratch marks from the glass surfaces, rendering a completely new look to those glass products.

The common white toothpaste may also be used for glass polishing, mainly in case of small glass items with flat surfaces. However, gel toothpaste cannot be used for this purpose.

It is very simple to use these common additives that are available for glass polishing, thus saving the time and energy of the homemakers. The durability of the glass products also increases after receiving the occasional polishes.
